The Artist

Viveka Biondic

I am a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, performance, photography, and text. My practice is deeply inspired by the strong women in my life, and this influence shapes both the themes and the emotional foundation of my work. I focus on exploring the many facets of womanhood—femininity and strength, vulnerability and resilience, image and identity, transformation and healing.

Drawing from mythology, symbolic actions, and lived experience, my projects often move beyond a single medium and unfold as layered, immersive narratives. I am interested in moments of rupture and repair, and in how acts of breaking, mending, and reimagining can become visual expressions of endurance and growth. Materials, gestures, and processes play an essential role in my work, allowing each piece to carry both emotional weight and poetic presence.

While the work is rooted in personal experience, it aims to speak beyond the individual. I seek to create spaces where viewers can recognize their own stories reflected in the work—where fragility is not hidden, but honored as a source of strength. Whether through objects, images, or performative traces, each project becomes a site of transformation rather than a fixed statement.

My practice treats art as a lived and evolving process. Through tenderness, resilience, and attention to detail, I aim to create work that invites reflection, connection, and a sense of becoming—both for myself and for those who encounter it.

“Her installation The Women and works from The Dress didn’t just speak—they moved people. Through minimal yet powerful gestures, she created space for reflection, for feeling, for remembering what it means to be seen as a woman and as a creator. Her work brought a vital pulse to the project, and her presence elevated the entire collaboration.”
